Bellwether Farm is a place of learning for people of all ages, faiths, communities, and walks of life. Through a range of programs led by our staff and community partners, the farm offers a variety of ways to engage and enrich ourselves.
Our retreat center will be open to host retreats for churches and groups both within the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio and beyond. Throughout the year we will hold retreats for individuals and groups, offering a space of learnings, growth, and rest. Our workshops and lecture series will offer intense engagement with subjects such as ecological sustainability, theology, community building, and social justice. Classes for all ages will be offered by staff and our partners on a variety of subjects and interests. We wish to engage communities outside of our direct vicinity through field trips and offer programming for groups that want to visit our Farm, learning about farming and sustainability.
In addition to our workshops and retreats, we offer special programming and field trips for those who wish to visit the farm.
Bellwether Farm, in partnership with some churches in our diocese, are held Soul Tending, a virtual retreat, on May 17. During the retreat, the Rev. Anita Amstutz, a Mennonite minister, invited attendees to explore their soul's deepest longings. The day also offered the opportunity to experience Sabbath activities which will nurture and nourish our inner landscape. Bellwether Farm set with explorations into garden walks, the barn chapel, yoga, art and much more. The sessions are available on Youtube.
